One Show Ends, and Another Begins!!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY to report that I survived directing the 6th grade musical!!  It was "touch and go" near the end...on many levels...and after SEVERAL 6th grade trauma/drama/meltdowns, but we pulled it off, and they did an AMAZING job!  I was SO PROUD of their efforts, their dedication, their spirit, and their talent!!!

Now that the musical is over, I get to be "just" an actor again (yay!).  I start rehearsals for "Bye Bye Birdie!" in Woodbury on Sunday night.  I will be reprising the role of Albert Peterson (my 3rd time playing the role in as many theaters).

I'm VERY excited to NOT have to worry about programs, or light cues, or whether the theater will be cool enough so that we don't all melt during performances.

In case I ever decide that directing "wasn't so bad", here's a photo of me trying to figure out what the HECK to do with the sound board a few weeks back to remind me...

Here's hoping YOU survived a recent challenge too, and that it was as rewarding for you as it was for me!!!!!
